After completing her apprenticeship in graphic screen printing, Birgit transitioned into industrial screen printing at Giesecke & Devrient. In 1996, she earned her qualification as a certified Master Craftsman in Printing from the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) in Munich. Her experience in security printing highlighted the critical importance of reproducibility in every step of the process. Materials, machinery, and precise handling are essential for achieving high print quality.
Driven by a pursuit of excellence, Birgit deepened her expertise in quality assurance, earning her certification as a Quality Representative and Internal Auditor in 1997.
In her current role at PVF, Birgit is responsible for transferring expert knowledge through technical mesh training and on-site screen-production workshops at our customers facilities. She is passionate about supporting clients in optimizing their screen-making processes and works to achieve maximum screen quality, the foundation for outstanding print results.
Birgit’s professional path is marked by her deep dedication to screen printing, which she has pursued for over two decades in various leadership positions. Her enthusiasm for the technology remains unwavering, from working with diverse mesh materials such as polyester, stainless steel, or tungsten, to exploring new production techniques and meeting a wide range of requirements, from ultra-fine structures to thick-film applications.
